St Andrew’s Centre is finishing off the year with the launch of a new website. We hope you like it. We’ve developed the site to make it easy to reserve a room for your meeting and choose all the equipment and services you need to go with it.
You’ll find specifications for all our meeting rooms and photos of the different layouts you can ask for. There’s also a handy list of Frequently Asked Questions. And while you’re there you can find out about the many community groups that meet at the Centre – about 50 at last count.
We’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the site. Let us know what you think and what else you’d like to see.
Free WiFi
Santa has come early to St Andrew’s Centre with an offer of free WiFi with all room bookings. We’ve decided to make WiFi complimentary so you can easily hook up with another centre during your meeting, or access material online. So let us know, when you make your next booking, whether this is something you need.
We’ve been yarn-bombed
If you’ve been to the Centre in the last few weeks you may have noticed some creativity breaking out underneath the scaffolding from the construction next door. Yes, that was a pair of knitted dinosaur feet you spotted on the way up the alleyway to our front door.
We’re being yarn-bombed by a craft group that meets at the Centre on Monday nights. We love the little knitted creatures that greet us every Tuesday morning. Look out for the latest addition when you next visit us.
New hall floor
We’re taking the opportunity over the summer to upgrade the flooring in the Hall. We’re putting in a solid wood tongue and groove floor, made from American oak, which should put a spring in the step of our dancers and other groups that use the Hall. We also plan to spruce up the wood panelling around the walls.
The Hall will be out of action from 4 January to (at this stage) the end of February to let this work happen.
Holiday opening hours
The Centre will close on Thursday 22 December mid afternoon, and reopen again on Monday 9 January 2017.
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Be safe on the roads. Enjoy spending time with those you love. We look forward to seeing you in the new year.
