It’s hard to believe that we’re nearly at the end of February already. All our regular groups are back at the St Andrew’s Centre and bookings are flying in for our conference rooms and newly refurbished hall. Read on to find out more about out new Centre Manager and other updates.
– Karyn and the team
New Centre Manager
We’re thrilled to be welcoming Laetitia Brunell as our new Centre Manager. Laetitia will be on deck next week and is looking forward to meeting you all. The field of candidates for the job was very strong, with a wide range of applicants keen to take on this special position. We were looking for someone who could maintain our culture of warm hospitality and make life easy for all our wonderful clients. We believe Laetitia has that X factor. In fact, you might already have met her in her current role at the Embassy Theatre where she organises many of their large events.
We’ve enjoyed having Harriet who has helped with the reservations while we searched for Laetitia. We’ve loved her cheerful personality and the way she’s worked with Karyn to keep everything running smoothly. Make sure you catch up with the new team, Laetitia and Karyn, when you’re next at St Andrew’s.
Refurbished hall
Thank you to all of you who were moved to another room while we laid the new floor in the hall over summer. We’re delighted with the upgrade and are looking forward to sharing it with you, next time you book the hall. It’s great to see all our regular groups enjoying the new tongue and groove surface.
Road works update
We’re pleased to see the storm water replacement work out the front moving further along The Terrace. We hope that the parking in front of the Church will be restored soon. Meanwhile, the work next door on the NZ Medical Association building is moving skywards and should be closed in soon.
Keeping us looking good
Our two facilities assistants, Rebecca Nodwell and Caitlin Rowe, are moving on at the end of February. They are the people who keep us looking good, preparing the rooms for our clients and tidying up at the end of the day. We’re really grateful for all their hard work and look forward to our new assistant, Lillian Norman, joining us in March.
